Story by Kirk

I’m really heartbroken over this. John was such a wonderful man. I had the great privilege to know John through racquetball. When I first moved to Texas I didn’t know many people. A coworker who used to work in my previous station invited me to play racquetball with him and some friends that he played with at the Euless Family Life Center. I hadn’t played in years but loved the sport so I agreed. That was the first time I met John who welcomed me into the group with open arms. John would always go out of his way to invite others to play or join the group and always try to make them feel like they fit in right away and were always welcome. I had the great honor of playing with John for many years at one of my favorite sports. There is a bond that is formed whether there are many or few words spoken over the years, just spending that time on the court. I will truly miss him and never cease praying for the wonderful family he left behind. I know he lived his life whole and he is with his Father in Heaven now and is at peace and hope to see him again in the next life. We love you John and we will never forget you.

Love,
